Rixon Reed and Vicki Bohannon put together an eclipse party to eclipse all eclipse parties at their Arroyo Hondo property. About 25 enthusiasts of all ages gathered to celebrate and observe. Rixon had three scopes setup for the occasion. A Lunt alpha-hydrogen solar scope, a Takahashi refractor with appropriate filter, and his 18" Obsession for later night viewing. In addition, Greg MacGregor and Tony Bonanno set up their rather Rube G. solar projections systems which the wind promptly wreaked havoc with. But they worked for a bit. Great food and drink was organized by Vicki and everyone contributed to the effort. The one image of the sun in this gallery was simply a photo of the sun being projected on a piece of foamboard.
